Recently some old neighbors, Aileen and Giuseppe, were walking their dog in my neighborhood. They had lived right next door, got married in May and had now moved to another part of town. I invited them in for drinks and a visit. Drinks turned into, "hey, why don't you stay for dinner?" Fortunately I had a Stouffer's lasagna in the freezer. I popped it and some frozen bread dough into the oven, opened a bottle of vino russo, threw together a salad of spring mix and bada bing! dinner con gli amici!
